My Honours thesis project was to create a land-cover classification for the Tantramar Marsh, New Brunswick, based on LiDAR and air photographs. This was then applied to quantify the carbon content of forest stands in the area. I also conducted summer research on aquatic hyphomycete fungi, with co-authorship of a paper focusing on the ecological stoichiometry of these organisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My M.Sc. project at Carleton is focused on the Apex River watershed near Iqaluit, NU, where I will be modelling snow accumulation and melt as part of my supervisor\u2019s (Dr. Murray Richardson) study of trace metals in the area. I\u2019m currently in my first year, and this will be my first research work conducted in the North.
