Under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Ballamingie and Dr. Jill Wigle, I am researching the constraints and benefits of incorporating community food programs directly on-site in housing developments. Many Ottawans are experiencing rising cost of living pressures, of which rent and food often have the largest share. Therefore, I am focused on what role this food program approach might play in easing residents experiences of urban precarity. My research interests converge around food sovereignty, economies of care, and the relationship between housing and food from both a social and built environment perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also hold a Bachelor of Global and International Studies from Carleton. During this degree I developed a strong interest in social policy and bring that perspective to my current work.
