Welcome to Geography and Environmental Studies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Are you passionate about addressing the climate crisis, inequality, colonialism, and social and environmental injustice? At Carleton\u2019s Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, you\u2019ll join a community of dedicated scholars focused on tackling these urgent global issues. With a wide range of courses designed to spark change and foster understanding, Carleton is the perfect place for students eager to make a real difference in the world. Our department is a collegial, research-intensive group strongly committed to ensuring equity and expanding diversity, both in terms of the backgrounds of our faculty and in our curricular offerings for Carleton\u2019s wide-ranging student body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We offer three programs of study leading to an undergraduate degree Geography<\/a>, Geomatics<\/a> and Environmental and Climate Change Studies<\/a>. Students can obtain a B.A. or a B.Sc., Honours, or Combined Honours Degree. We also offer a specialization in Globalization and the Environment<\/a> as part of the Bachelor of Global and International Studies<\/a> program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
