We are all critical social scientists (human geographers, political economists) at Carleton University, cross-appointed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/geography\/\">Department of Geography and Environmental Studies<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/politicaleconomy\/\">Institute of Political Economy.<\/a> Andree is also appointed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/polisci\/\">Department of Political Science<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/geography\/people\/ballamingie-patricia\/\">Dr. Patricia Ballamingie<\/a> seeks a prospective PhD (in <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/geography\/geography\/doctoral-program\/\">Geography<\/a>, possibly with a specialization in Political Economy) to examine housing alternatives (e.g., with the RAship focused on the opportunities and constraints associated with tiny houses, but an open thesis topic) using primarily qualitative research methods. The student\u2019s substantive area of research could be in housing, environmental, or food system issues.
