Serena Tinari

Serena Tinari (1972) is the co-founder of Re-Check, a Swiss non-profit organisation for investigating and mapping health affairs (www.re-check.ch). She started working as a journalist in 1994. Between 2002 and 2015, she was an investigative reporter and documentary maker for the Swiss public broadcaster. Primarily specialised in medicine and healthcare, she has experience on human rights and digital security. She is a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Serena has initiated in 2019 with fellows investigative journalists #JournalistsSpeakUpForAssange (www.speak-up-for-assange.org). A contributor with the British Medical Journal, Serena wrote with Catherine Riva the GIJN Guide Investigating Health and Medicine. She grew up in Rome, Italy, and is based since 2000 in the German part of Switzerland.
