Sergio Sismondo

Sergio Sismondo (Queen’s University) works in the field of Science and Technology Studies, in which he has written one of the standard textbooks, An Introduction to Science and Technology Studies (2nd ed, 2010), as well as a number of other general or theoretical works. He is the editor of Social Studies of Science, one of STS’s central journals. His empirical work is mostly on intersections of pharmaceutical research and marketing; see his Ghost-Managed Medicine: Big Pharma’s Invisible Hands.
