After two years of remote learning, making new friends may feel uncomfortable \u2013 but the International Student Services Office (ISSO) and Health and Counselling Services (HCS) are here to help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join the ISSO and HCS for the \u2018Making Friends in Canada\u2019 workshop.&nbsp;In this 90-minute virtual session, students will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recognize how culture impacts our beliefs and behaviours when making friends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore 3 main stages of meaningful conversations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify key campus events and everyday opportunities for starting meaningful conversations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice skills in a safe environment through one-on-one role playing and scenarios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This session will take place on <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton-ca.zoom.us\/j\/96715307789\">Zoom<\/a>. Register for a reminder&nbsp;48 hours in advance of the event.
