You are mostly in contact with the international office at Vienna. They have their own groups. The really big one in Vienna is ERASMUS. They have events for the week and if you have a card with them you get discounts at events. If you stick with them you will have a good time. It was interesting to face a different grading scheme. It was quite a good place for the price and the place relative to the city as well as the university was quite nice. Cheap and gets you to were you need to go. In terms of getting other places. I really liked Flixbus. For visiting other close by countries, FlixBus seems to have the best prices and is super convenient. Ryanair has cheap prices for countries such as London and Copenhagen (super worth seeing).
