The Bachelors Office was accessible to both exchange and local students for academic queries. While I didn\u2019t see many formal volunteer activities, the club scene was active and engaging. There\u2019s <em>La Sauce<\/em> (a cooking club), <em>Ga\u00efa<\/em> (wellness-focused), <em>World Connections<\/em> (geared toward international students), and many more. I joined <em>Montpellier\u2019s Treasures (MT), <\/em>the school\u2019s fashion club! From there, you can choose to drop specific courses, but options are limited and not as flexible as at Carleton. I recommend future students plan ahead and consult with their academic advisor early to ensure course compatibility. The teaching style, however, involved a lot of repetition and reinforcement across different classes, so don\u2019t be surprised if you encounter the same concepts more than once! Group projects make up a significant portion of your grade (often 50%), with the other 50% coming from a final assessment. One thing I appreciated was staying with the same group of classmates throughout the semester, which made it easy to build strong connections.&#8221; &#8211; <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Full Year 2024\/2025, Bachelor of International Business<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Typically 20-30 students, and it was much easier to know your professors and for them to know you. The space was fully furnished, had its own kitchen and a terrace, and all my neighbors were students. I found my accommodation through Studapart<strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">,<\/strong> a platform partnered with MBS. However, the housing search was a bit tricky. A lot of student accommodations were already booked, and some spots are reserved for EU or co-op students. Start your search early<strong>.<\/strong> Don\u2019t hesitate to send multiple inquiries or applications.\u201d &#8211; <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Full Year 2024\/2025, Bachelor of International Business<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I lived in a shared apartment with 3 other people, 2 of which were also students but at other universities. All you need is a copy of your visa and proof of residence, and you\u2019re good to go. For my phone, I set up a French number through Connectivity before I even left Canada. If you love nature or want to try something new, go hiking &#8211; you won\u2019t regret it! As for local gems, there\u2019s so much to explore right in and around the city: <em>Ch\u00e2teau de Flaugergues<\/em> (a local vineyard and estate just outside the city center); <em>Place de la Com\u00e9die<\/em>; <em>Zoo de Lunaret<\/em> (free); <em>Planet Ocean<\/em>; <em>La Grande Motte<\/em> (stunning beach town just a short trip away); <em>Patinoire Vegapolis<\/em>; <em>Les Arceaux<\/em> (picturesque aqueduct arches and farmers market); <em>Arc de Triomphe<\/em>; <em>Odysseum<\/em> (an open-air shopping and entertainment hub); <em>Mus\u00e9e Fabre<\/em>.&#8221; &#8211; <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Full Year 2024\/2025, Bachelor of International Business<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s hard to give must-see places because there are so many different and unique places, but when travelling, immerse yourself in their culture. Whether it is their food, past times or events like a football match, there is always something new.
