There were WhatsApp group chats attached to clubs to keep people posted on upcoming dates. This was an adjustment. On the other hand, there was a possible resit for each failed course. This was cool and unexpected but it only sometimes made a difference as the resists were quite prompt after the original exams (in the last semester). This was a good choice in the long run, I was close to the university, in a private room with a shared kitchen. I opened a Dutch bank account, but based on it\u2019s persistent challenges and lack of customer support at the bank, I relied heavily on my Canadian account. I was provided with a local SIM card upon my arrival at the university. On daily travel: Get a bike, and DO NOT cheap out on a lock.
