There were regular guest presentations from CEOs and entrepreneurs, and several active clubs \u2014 the most well-promoted being the debate club, entrepreneurship club, and the buddies club (designed for exchange and international students). Living in residence was great for meeting new friends \u2014 in fact, that\u2019s how I met my closest ones. But as an older student, it felt a little like being back in first year. I used the student housing guide provided for those studying in Spain, and CityLife Madrid was amazing to work with. I\u2019d recommend just letting your home bank know you\u2019ll be abroad and relying mostly on cash. Take advantage of your weekends and travel whenever you can \u2014 don\u2019t save it all for the end of your exchange because time will run out. If you can, plan to stay an extra month (or more) after your exchange just to travel.
