The GO-ISSO is looking for dedicated student volunteers to help welcome and support <strong data-start=\"329\" data-end=\"346\">Global Ravens<\/strong> at Carleton University! If you love connecting with people, supporting fellow students, and getting involved on campus, we encourage you to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"why-volunteer\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"519\">Why Volunteer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an GO-ISSO Volunteer, you\u2019ll gain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peer-to-peer support and community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networking opportunities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"675\">Co-Curricular Record (CCR) credit (must volunteer at 3 events minimum) <\/strong>\u2014 great for employment and grad school applications!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valuable experience in leadership and event support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"volunteer-roles-commitments\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"823\">Volunteer Roles &amp; Winter)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Welcome new international students at orientation events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1156\">Fall 2025:<\/strong> September 1st \u2013 4th<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1200\">Winter 2026:<\/strong> January 4th &#8211; Cultural Events<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1135\">International Student Fall &amp; Winter Orientation Day<\/strong>\u2013 Activities designed to welcome new international students in the winter term, featuring social events, information sessions, and cultural celebrations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1344\">Snowshoeing in Gatineau Park<\/strong> \u2013 A guided snowshoeing adventure where students explore Canada\u2019s winter landscapes and enjoy outdoor activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1502\">Frost &amp; Friends: GO-ISSO Skating Event!<\/strong> \u2013 A fun-filled ice skating event where students learn to skate and embrace Canada\u2019s winter traditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1660\">Winterlude: Celebration of Culture &amp; Community<\/strong> \u2013 A visit to Ottawa\u2019s famous Winterlude festival, where students experience ice sculptures, cultural exhibits, and winter fun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1792\" data-end=\"1837\">Vanier Sugar Shack (Cabane \u00e0 Sucre) Visit<\/strong> \u2013 A traditional French-Canadian experience where students enjoy maple taffy and learn about maple syrup production..<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2610\">Museum Visits<\/strong> \u2013 Organized trips to explore Ottawa\u2019s rich history and culture at museums such as the Canadian Museum of History, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Canadian Museum of Nature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"community-engagement-special-events\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"4517\" data-end=\"4558\">Community Engagement &amp; Special Events<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong data-start=\"4563\" data-end=\"4609\">Campus to Community Day \u2013 In From the Cold (Partnered with the Student Experience Office) <\/strong>\u2013 A volunteer initiative supporting Ottawa\u2019s homeless community, where students help prepare and serve meals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"1980\" data-end=\"1999\">CAB Salsa Night (Partnered with Student Experience Office)&nbsp;<\/strong> \u2013 A lively evening of Latin music and dance, where students can learn salsa moves and enjoy an energetic social atmosphere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"2128\" data-end=\"2173\">Galentine\u2019s Day Celebration: Craft &amp; Fun!(Partnered with the CUSA Women&#8217;s Centre) <\/strong>\u2013 A creative event celebrating friendships with crafts, games, and activities to bring students together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2330\">International Brunch (Partnered with CUSA)<\/strong> \u2013 A community-building event where International students connect over food and shared experiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2480\">Dream Catcher Workshop (Partnered with CUSA Mawandoseg Centre) &nbsp;
