Join Carleton in celebrating our international community and the benefits of global learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"this-years-theme-is-building-belonging\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">This year&#8217;s theme is Building Belonging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can be hard to start over in a new place with different customs and experiences. Feeling like you belong somewhere doesn&#8217;t happen overnight and there can be barriers along the way. Finding belonging grows through <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">shared experiences, supportive relationships and opportunities to connect<\/strong>. Plan to work during the holidays? If so, you will need a Social Insurance Number (SIN). Get support from Service Canada to obtain your SIN and prepare for employment in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Voting for Through A Global Lens begins<em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\"><\/em><\/strong><em><em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\"> <\/em><\/em>Ndeyinan Gallery 1pm-3pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come visit our booth at the Ndeyi<em>na<\/em>n to learn more about our global opportunities, view photos from our Through a Global Lens contest and vote on a winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"tuesday-november-17th\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Tuesday November 17th <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\"><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/go-isso\/event\/all-about-post-graduation-work-permits-12\/\">All about PGWP<\/a><\/strong> 11am-12pm via Teams<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you hope to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) so you can remain in Canada after graduation and gain Canadian work experience?\u202f If so, then you must know how to maintain your eligibility, how to apply and how to make the most of your PGWP. This session covers all of that, and you will also have a chance to get answers to your questions from a Student Immigration Advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"wednesday-november-18th\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Wednesday November 18th<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/go-isso\/event\/international-student-late-arrival-orientation\/\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Career Strategies for International Students with Career Services<\/strong> <\/a>2-4pm 402 MacOdrum Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want a job? Don&#8217;t know where to start? Learn more about how your international experience can help you gain employment. Whether you&#8217;re looking for a part time job, or thinking ahead to working after school.
