We have a dedicated team of staff to support students with preparing for travel, immigration and study permit processes, and adjusting to life in Canada as you prepare for an in-person experience at Carleton University for the Fall 2022 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"applying-for-a-study-permit\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applying for a Study Permit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ISSO is hosting weekly <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/go-isso\/events-2\/\">Ask an Immigration Advisor Q&amp;A<\/a> sessions in April and May. Participants will learn about resources for searching for accommodations in Ottawa, tools for evaluating properties, anticipated costs, and information on applying to university residence as an upper-year student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register for<strong> Ottawa Housing Search 101<\/strong> here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/go-isso\/cu_event\/ottawa-housing-search-2\/\">May 25 at 8:30 a.m.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>New students joining Carleton University for their first semester can sign up for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/go-isso\/new-students\/i-start-orientation\/\">I-Start Orientation<\/a>&nbsp;with registration opening on <strong>May 1&nbsp;<\/strong>and programming launching on <strong>July 11<\/strong>. I-Start is an online orientation to support international students in their transition to Carleton and Canada. In this free online mini-course, you will receive resources and information that will help you transition successfully to student life at Carleton and in Canada. This orientation has been designed to meet the needs of all international students, including undergraduate and graduate students.
