Call for proposals: Presenters – Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Equity and Inclusion in Organizations

The Center for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW) is inviting applications for participation in an early career researchers conference on multidisciplinary perspectives on equity and inclusion in organizations.
The conference is aimed to encourage interdisciplinary discussion, exchange of ideas, and collaboration among scholars who explore equity issues at work as they pertain to traditionally underrepresented populations. Of particular interest are papers exploring barriers to employment and organizational socialization for such populations as immigrants, women, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ2+, First Nations, and youth.
CRIW is inviting applications from graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, as well as faculty early in their careers or new to research on equity, diversity and inclusion.

February 15, 2020 – Proposal submission deadline
March 15, 2020 – Returning of proposals with peer review and feedback
April 1, 2020 – Conference registration deadline

Proposal submission instructions
If you wish to present a paper at the conference, please submit in two separate files:
- a title page with the title of the paper, your name, position, contact information and institutional affiliation
- a 500-word abstract, including a statement of research questions, theoretical framework, methods and the main findings or argument (as relevant for the type of paper you are submitting)
The deadline for proposal submission is February 24, 2020. The submission should be sent to criw@carleton.ca with the subject line “Early Career Conference submission”. The proposals will be peer reviewed and feedback will be sent by March 15, 2020.
