It is common for many cryptocurrencies to rise tens, or even hundreds of percentage points in value over several weeks and months, before crashing by 50-90% over a matter of days. Are these merely speculative high-risk assets, legitimate business ventures that could revolutionize our economy, or thinly-vailed scams? “Yes” turns out to be the answer to all three. If you want to learn about the basics of cryptocurrencies (what is Bitcoin, how it works, what’s the halving cycle, what’s crypto mining, cold wallets vs. exchanges, etc) and be able to understand what gives some cryptocurrencies value while others are mere smoke and mirrors, this is a webinar you cannot afford to miss. Beside the basics of how Bitcoin works, we will also briefly review some key features of Ethereum, Cardano, Solana, and Chainlink. Finally, we will look at the pros & cons of gaining exposure to crypto by owning the coins outright vs. buying them via an ETF.
Learning outcomes:
(1) Learn about cryptocurrency basics: private vs. public keys, mining, tokens, wallets, & much more.
(2) Familiarize yourself with potential risks of various types of altcoins or tokens.
(3) Learn about various cryptocurrency scams and ways to avoid them.
