Establish Your Career Narrative by Creating an Individual Development Plan
February 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Location: | 512 Tory Building |
Audience: | Current Students |
Professional development is about envisioning and following your career narrative toward ambitious but realistic goals. One way to plan your career narrative is through the creation of an Individual Development Plan. In this two-hour workshop you will learn what professional development involves, how IDPs work, and you’ll also get started on creating your own IDP. Those who attend this workshop may sign up for follow-up consultations on their IDP.
We ask that all attendees bring a laptop equipped with Wi-Fi. If you are unable to bring a laptop, please contact david.lafferty@carleton.ca beforehand to request a paper copy of the IDP materials.
Facilitators: David Lafferty and Karim Abuawad
All graduate students are welcome. If you are a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.
