Winter 2020 Navigating the Canadian Workplace Workshop Series

January 18, 2021

Location:online
Audience:Current Students

The Navigating the Canadian Workplace Workshop Series is designed to support international students and newcomers to Canada in exploring strategies for finding work in Canada and transitioning into the Canadian workplace. This is a self-directed workshop series where students can access the information through cuLearn and complete the sessions at their own pace. Students will have 8 weeks (from January 18 to March 8, 2021) to complete the workshop series. To add the workshop to the Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and/or receive paid pedagogical TA training hours, students must complete and submit all the assignments for the 5 sessions by the deadline.

To register for the workshop series, log into mySuccess through Carleton Central and view the Navigating the Canadian Workplace workshop details in the Career Services Workshops/Events Calendar for the month of January.

More information on the workshop series can be found on the Career Services website at https://carleton.ca/career/events-2/workshops/ and the description in mySuccess.

If students have further questions about the workshop series or issues with registration, they can email ISWorkshops@cunet.carleton.ca

All graduate students and postdocs are welcome. If you are working as a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place. Students must complete all workshops to earn 5 hours worth of paid pedagogical training.
