SUMMARY:Thesis and Dissertation Layout Made Easy
DESCRIPTION:Thesis and Dissertation Layout Made Easy: Using Word to Format Headings, Tables of Contents and More

“Begin as you mean to go on.” Or, format your research document before you start to write so that you can easily finalize your thesis, dissertation or other research project and submit your work on time.

In this three-hour hands-on workshop designed for students in the arts and social sciences, we introduce participants to basic functions in Microsoft Word that allow them to format documents so that they leave with a template for their research project.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to use functions in Word to:

Choose a theme or style

Create a table of contents using headings and sub-headings

Add captions to images and figures
