SUMMARY:Systematic and Scoping Reviews
DESCRIPTION:Knowledge syntheses, which includes systematic and scoping reviews, provide a rigorous, transparent, and reproducible method to answer a research question. Originating in the medical field this methodology is now used in many disciplines. This workshop will familiarize students with systematic and scoping reviews and introduce the steps for conducting a knowledge synthesis.



Learning Outcomes:




Describe systematic and scoping reviews



Determine which type of review is appropriate to answer a particular research question



Articulate the steps in a knowledge synthesis

All graduate students and postdocs are welcome. If you are a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.
