Learn the basics of writing to sell, and you will not only gain some valuable skills that can benefit you outside of academia but also sharpen your writing skills in general.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1) Understand the difference between writing as a means of contributing to an academic conversation and writing to sell or promote<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2) Understand, in broad outline, the history of copywriting<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(3) Grasp the foundational techniques for producing clean, persuasive copy<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(4) Gain a glimpse into the related world of \u201ccontent marketing\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshop leader(s):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Lafferty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> All graduate students are welcome.
