GRADflix, which originated at the University of Waterloo, is a research video competition for graduate students. Each contestant may submit one video about their research, and all videos must be no longer than one minute in length. Videos must contain both movement and sound. Also, this time around, you are free to use any Artificial Intelligence tools you like for creating any aspect of the video<\/em> (as long as you document the tools you used and the output is not copyrighted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video submissions must be received by April 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner showcase on April 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes: $750<\/strong> for first place, $500<\/strong> for second place, $250<\/strong> for third place, $250<\/strong> for honourable mention, and $250<\/strong> for people’s choice award<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2022 GRADflix showcase took place on Tuesday, May 31, on Zoom<\/strong>. The following videos were chosen by our judges as the top 3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
