Welcome to Carleton University! As your Graduate Students’ Association, we are dedicated to enhancing your experience at Carleton University by providing a wide range of services and opportunities. Information is also available at our website: https:\/\/gsacarleton.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advocacy and Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are here to advocate for students and provide services supporting you in navigating academics, financial needs and support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events and Community Building<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We organize various events and activities throughout the year, creating opportunities for you to connect with fellow graduate students. This includes social events, partnering with external organizations and working with the Canadian Federation of Students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding and Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The GSA offers some financial support options! You can access information about scholarships, grants, awards, and travel bursary funding through our website. Grants will open in the Fall of 2023. Take a look at the Services tab on our website to learn more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSA Healthplan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The GSA has partnered with Greenshield Canada to provide health plan coverage for graduate students. If you have any dependents and would like to opt into the plan, the portal will open on our website on September 1st, 2023. The deadline for opt-in is October 5th, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, if you have proof of alternative insurance that is of equal or greater coverage you will be able to opt-out between September 1st-October 5th 2023. Keep in mind TA benefits and UHIP are not equal or comparable coverage. Any opt out requests after October 5th cannot be processed.
