The challenge is to present complex research in an accessible and compelling way, with the assistance of only one static slide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presenting at the 3MT competition increases your capacity to consolidate your ideas and explain your research in a clear and concise manner, and in a language accessible to a general audience. Participating in the 3MT is an opportunity to enhance your communication skills and share your research and ideas with the broader community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a participant in Carleton&#8217;s 3MT competition, you will have access to training and feedback to support you as you craft and deliver a compelling and engaging presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more about how 3MT presentations are crafted and delivered, watch the 2023 3MT winning presentations <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/gradpd\/2023-3mt-winners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Carleton 3MT competition will be held in person on <strong>March 28, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"participants-will-compete-for-the-following-prizes\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants will compete for the following prizes:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First place: $1000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Second place: $500<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Third place: $250<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPeople\u2019s Choice\u201d prize: $150<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"registration\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration is now closed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Three Minute Thesis (3MT\u00ae) is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia.
