He has conducted his M.Sc. research on constitutive modelling of soil behavior. Amir is actively involved in developing a model to predict load transfer and creep behavior of pile foundations in warming permafrost. His research project involves experimental model tests on pile foundations installed in ice-poor frozen soils and exposed to varying temperature. He is also developing a numerical model to further investigate performance of pile foundations in warming permafrost.
