Aliu is focused on developing a numerical model for simulating both static and seismic performance of Hollow Fiber-Reinforced Polymer piles in different soils. FRP piles have been recently used in harsh and corrosive environemnt, and we are trying to examine the use of these piles in potentially liquefiable soils.
