Research Interests: The exploration of political design and design processes for self determination, with a specific interest in conflict-affected and marginalized urban contexts and situations. Her approaches are participatory design, speculative design and fiction, and strategic design. She engages with reflections on power and design, theories of complexity and design strategies, tactics and devices for change, and explorations on non-institutionalized design, decolonizing design, and gender and design.
