Thesis Objectives and Sample Theses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of your thesis is to conduct and document an HCI research project suitable (in principle) for publication in a referred HCI conference or journal. For more information on thesis objectives, or to see sample and past theses, you can follow the links below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you register<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Course registration is done online through Carleton Central<\/a>.  It is your one-stop service for registration, student records, admission, and fee information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refer to the Registrar\u2019s Office website<\/a> for how-to videos to assist you in navigating the Carleton Central registration system. You can view the registration open and deadline dates on the Registration Dates and Deadlines webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After You Register<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pay your tuition by the payment deadline each term to avoid penalties or late fees. The Student Accounts office has information on how to make a payment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards and Funding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Carleton offers a variety of funding opportunities to our students. New and current students can apply for several internal, external and special awards. Application deadlines vary. Students should consult the specifics of the awards to understand the eligibility requirements, application materials, and necessary internal deadlines. TA Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A teaching assistant (TA) assists course instructors with various duties which may include conducting labs or study groups, assisting with lecture preparation, and marking assignments and tests. Priority TAs receive a TA award as part of their funding package at the time of application. If you do not receive a TA award with your admission package, you may still apply as an Outside Priority TA through Carleton Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
