Steve provides counselling/therapy to the Carleton student population with a special interest in graduate students.

Steve’s ties to Carleton are deep having received his first degree here.

His training gives him experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy – learning to live in the present moment, Brief Psychoanalytic therapy to do with having better relationships and Acceptance in Commitment Therapy (ACT) to do with values-based positive behaviour and a soft version of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to do with personality aspects. Steve has a particular interest in anxiety turning it into a positive.

Steve believes that each person is unique and tailors sessions to be “made to measure”.

Steve’s wish is that each person he attends may leave with a little something that they may take with them for the rest of their lives.
