Dr. Rachel Lane is an epidemiologist with over 20 years of experience assessing the health effects of radiation and other occupational, environmental and behavioural risk factors. Her experience includes risk communication, public health, disease surveillance, risk assessment, and health economics. Her current areas of interest are assessing the health effects of low levels of radiation exposure and effectively communicating objective scientific information.<\/p>\n
Dr. Lane received her Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Health Studies – Cooperative Program from the University of Waterloo, her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Population Health from Queen\u2019s University and her Doctoral degree in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa.<\/p>\n
Dr. Lane has been an advisor on the Canadian delegation to the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) from 2006 to 2015.
