Funding Options and Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are a many awards opportunities that are open to graduate students. As a graduate student in the Department of Health Sciences, you may apply for both internal and external awards, and we encourage you to pursue any funding opportunities for which you are eligible.\u00a0 Some awards are merit-based, while others are for those in financial need.<\/p>\n

Below are additional notes from the HLTH department that may not be included in the links\/websites.<\/em><\/p>\n

Donor-Funded Awards \/ Endowments (Internal Awards)<\/b><\/p>\n

Donor-funded awards are financial awards valued from several hundred dollars to a maximum of $20,000 and are provided by an individual or organization to Carleton. They are administered by Carleton and are awarded based on academic merit, financial need and\/or specific research areas.<\/p>\n

You must apply to these awards online through Carleton Central, and the applications are typically due around the end of September. For details about these awards, and the application process, please visit https:\/\/gradstudents.carleton.ca\/awards-and-funding\/internal-awards\/#donor\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Graduate Student Travel \/ Research Bursary (Internal Awards)<\/b><\/p>\n

Our department is allocated a small annual budget to help support our students in conducting and presenting their research.\u00a0 These applications are reviewed case-by-case, first-come-first-served.\u00a0 Please note that within the Dept of Health Sciences each student is limited to a maximum $200 bursary per year.<\/p>\n

Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) (External Awards)<\/b><\/p>\n

OGS<\/a><\/p>\n

Applicants must apply via Carleton Central. Note that the time-to-completion of your degree will dictate your eligibility for OGS.\u00a0 All applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 10.0\/12.0 for each of the last two years of full-time study.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
