GPA Requirements for Health Sciences CAPSTONE COURSES\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Health Science will use the <b>original letter grade <\/b>to determine whether you meet the GPA requirements to register in the following courses:<\/p>\n<p><b>1) HLTH 390X &#8211; Emerging Issues in Health Sciences Seminar Course <\/b>(prerequisite for HLTH4909 &amp; HLTH4910)<\/p>\n<p><b>2) HLTH 4909 &#8211; Field Placement &amp; Research Project <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>3) HLTH 4910 &#8211; <\/b><b>Honours<\/b><b> Individual Research Thesis <\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>*Meeting the minimum requirements <\/i><u><b><i>does not<\/i><\/b><\/u> <i>guarantee enrollment in HLTH4909 OR HLTH4910.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><i>\u00a0 <\/i><\/b><b><i>-Department of Health Sciences, 2023<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>GPA Requirements<\/h2>\n<p><b>1) HLTH 390X &#8211; Emerging Issues in Health Sciences Seminar Course <\/b><\/p>\n<p>(prerequisite for HLTH4909 &amp; HLTH4910)<\/p>\n<p>*overall CGPA of at least 8.5, third-year standing or above in the BHSc program<\/p>\n<p><b>2) HLTH 4909 &#8211; Field Placement &amp; Research Project <\/b><\/p>\n<p>*overall and major CGPA of at least 9.0 (as per the <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/calendars\/2022-2023\/undergrad\/undergradprograms\/healthsciences\/#courseinventory\">2022-23 Academic Calendar<\/a>), approval of faculty advisor\/placement site<\/p>\n<p><b>3) HLTH 4910 &#8211;
