One out of every 13 Canadians has Diabetes.

Among people 65 and over, it’s at least one out of eight. Add to those numbers the people who have pre diabetes and you’ve got a nation at risk. The good news is that diabetes isn’t inevitable. People with pre diabetes can cut their odds of getting the disease by nearly 60% through changes to diet and activity patterns.

Registered Dietitian Cindy Sass reviewed lifestyle habits you can change today to reduce your risk of developing this rapidly increasing chronic disease.
