Changing seasons and COVID-19: supporting your aging loved through the colder months
With Fall at the doorstep, and Winter just around the corner, many seniors are looking at the months ahead with greater apprehension than usual this year, and so are their supporting loved ones. Layering the challenges of cold weather and the sometimes inhospitable conditions that come with winter on top of challenges and restrictions associated with COVID-19, will disproportionately and heavily impact older adults. A well thought out plan of action however and knowing where to find key information and guidelines, can help mitigate the impact of the challenging months ahead for both seniors and their caregivers.
Jennifer Moir, Owner of Age Well Solutions, will lead this virtual workshop to discuss with participants ideas, tips and strategies to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of older adults and caregivers during the colder months ahead. She will also share information about where to access further assistance via Carleton’s Employee & Family Assistance Program.
