Not Myself Today

In June 2019, Carleton launched its first-ever Not Myself Today campaign through the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). Not Myself Today was created to help reduce stigma and support mental health at work. It’s an evidence-based, practical solution focused on three outcomes:

  1. Building greater awareness and understanding of mental health
  2. Reducing stigma
  3. Fostering safe & supportive work cultures

Not Myself Today is based on the insight that every one of us has had days when we don’t feel like ourselves and most of us learn or are told to suppress these feelings. But, these feelings are part of our mental health and it’s important to take care of them. Not Myself Today leverages this insight to connect people to their own mental health and build empathy and understanding toward those living with mental illnesses.

Not Myself Today was launched in conjunction with Carleton University’s new Healthy Workplace Strategic Plan 2019-2022.
