SUMMARY:Supporting a Colleague: In Person Session
DESCRIPTION:If a colleague seemed to be experiencing some difficult times, would you know how to support them? Do you know what mental health supports are available on campus for staff and faculty? Would you feel comfortable speaking with a colleague about their well-being while also knowing the boundaries around the support you could offer?This 1.5-hour workshop provides some tips and resources for how to support a colleague. Using the 4R model, we discuss how to Recognize, Respond, Refer and Reflect when a colleague is struggling.
