Healthy Workplace is absolutely delighted to collaborate with the MacOdrum Library Book Arts Lab on a number of workshops and offerings for staff and faculty. The Book Arts Lab<\/a> is an experiential learning space designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience of students using the book arts and sciences in a practical, \u201chand-on\u201d manner.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Join us on Tuesday, May 19th from 12:00pm – 1:00pm for a tour of the Book Arts Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An opportunity for staff and faculty to learn more about The Book Arts and how The Book Arts Lad supports learning on campus. Tour the space and pull a print!
This workshop has limited spaces available. If all spots are filled, a waitlist will be put in place. Should there be strong interest, we will look at offering additional sessions at a later date.

Curiosity Kits: Bits to Books<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Take home DIY kits to make your own books – each kit lets you bind your own book using scrap paper from the Book Art Lab<\/strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each kit comes with most of the materials you’ll need to bind your own book. From home you will need: glue, scissors, and a pen or marker. The kits also come with instructions, and a QR code that directs you to an instructional step-by-step video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One kit per person!<\/strong> Please note that there will be a limited number of kits available<\/strong>; however, if there is high demand among the staff and faculty community, more kits will be created and distributed at a later date.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meditative Marbling Workshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The act of creating consciously<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us in the MacOdrum Library – Book Arts Lab for a meditative marbling workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will begin with an initial 3-min instruction to the technique. Then, spend your lunch hour in quiet mindfulness, creating beautiful marbled paper with ink. Come relax with us.
