Dr. Hanley-Dafoe\u2019s talk on January 25th was entitled: \u201cHope-Forward: Steadying Our Steps After a Challenging Season\u201d, and discussed practical strategies, grounded in global research and case studies, that help foster resiliency within ourselves and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees learned how to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify and recognize practices that foster everyday resiliency;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the barriers and facilitators of resiliency;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decrease stress during uncertainty; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revisit and reaffirm values and priorities for life with work integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In case you missed it, you can watch the recording <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaspace.carleton.ca\/media\/Hope-ForwardA+Steadying+Our+Steps+After+a+Challenging+Season+with+Dr.+Robyne+Hanley-Dafoe\/1_5g438ha2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/strong>It will be available for viewing until February 25, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Speaker<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Described as one of the most sought-after, engaging, thought-provoking, and truly transformative international speakers and scholars in her field, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe is a multi-award-winning psychology and education instructor who specializes in resiliency, navigating stress and change, and personal wellness. Hanley-Dafoe\u2019s work is inspired by personal experience. She learned resiliency from the ground up as someone who has experienced significant obstacles throughout her life.
