Session 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Olivia Holland<\/strong> is a second-year PhD student in the Department of History at the University of Toronto; she researches Canadian nurses during the First and Second World War through the lens of tourism and has had the privilege of travelling to France on battlefield study tours as a student and a teaching assistant<\/p>\n

Amanda Skocic<\/strong> is a second-year PhD student at the University of Toronto, where she studies History with a Collaborative Specialization in Food Studies.<\/p>\n

A second-year History PhD student at the University of Toronto, Rebecca Hartley<\/strong> examines the history of representations of the past as depicted in museum exhibits, personal recollections, and popular media.<\/p>\n

Session 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9e-Ann Langevin<\/strong> is a recent Master of Architecture graduate from Carleton University and candidate to the architectural profession at DMA Architectes in Montr\u00e9al, whose work focuses on adaptive reuse, heritage conservation, and integrating lived and perceptual experience into how the built environment is understood and transformed.<\/p>\n

Carolyn Bouffard Lima,<\/strong> B.Arch., M.Sc. is Heritage Manager at Public Services and Procurement Canada; she specializes in the conservation of federal heritage buildings and national historic places.<\/p>\n

Heather Thomson,<\/strong> MCIP RPP CAPH is the Manager, Heritage Conservation Programs at the National Capital Commission and an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University<\/p>\n

Walid Elgazzar<\/strong> is a member of the project management team for the Alexandra Bridge Replacement Project at Public Services and Procurement Canada, focusing on sustainability and the interpretation and commemoration program; he holds a Master of Engineering from Carleton University and participates in his personal capacity.<\/p>\n

Session 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morghen Jael<\/strong> is a PhD student in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto, with a research focus on the embodied experiences of visiting and interfacing with exhibitions at museums and other display sites<\/p>\n

Jesse Stewart<\/strong> (to be added)<\/p>\n

Amy Hetletvedt,<\/strong> architect and author of Preserving with Purpose: Reimagining Buildings for Community Benefit<\/em>, is a contract instructor at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton.<\/p>\n

Reza Yazdanpanah<\/strong> is a former music faculty member in Iran and a community music instructor, composer, improviser, and PhD researcher in Cultural Mediations at Carleton University whose research-creation explores oral tradition, intercultural improvisation, cultural mediation, migration, and embodied forms of knowledge<\/p>\n

Session 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

Patrick M. Moore<\/strong> is an internationally acclaimed carpenter, construction manager, and stereotomy expert who holds the unique distinction of being the first native English speaker accepted as a “Compagnon Passant Charpentier” in France’s elite, UNESCO-listed 13th-Century Compagnonnage guild.<\/p>\n

Chloe Maignan<\/strong> is a Master of Architecture student at Carleton University with a background in History and Theory of Architecture and a research focus on decolonial approaches to diasporic architectural history, memory, heritage, and conservation<\/p>\n

Keisha Cuffie<\/strong> is the founder of Black Legacy Collective and an author, curator and public historian dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black history in Canada from the 1600\u2019s to today.<\/p>\n
