Mario Santana, Stephen Fai and Christian Ouimet are organizing the 26th biennial CIPA symposium from August 28 to September 1, 2017. CIPA is the Scientific Committee on Heritage Documentation for the International Committee on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
Hosted at Carleton University, Ottawa, CIPA 2017 will mark the first time the CIPA symposium has been held in North America and only the fourth time it has been held outside of Europe. More than 300 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend this five-day event. NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering students, co-applicants and collaborators will play key roles in the symposium.
The theme of the 2017 symposium is “Digital Workflows for Heritage Conservation”.
