Adrian Soble, Masters, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at WSP Ottawa office<\/p>\n Adrian will work on building performance in heritage buildings, addressing such areas as thermal comfort and indoor air quality.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Elyse Hamp, Masters, Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at University of Minho, Portugal<\/p>\n Elyse will be working on a project for the preventive conservation of cultural heritage buildings in Braga and Guimaraes, Portugal including building inspections and reality capture.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Etienne Berube, Masters, Archtiecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at Heritage Conservation Services, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Gatineau<\/p>\n Etienne will work with HCS to develop case studies for a Heritage and Sustainability Guide.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jamie Marrs, Masters, Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at J.G.Cooke & Associates, Engineers, Ottawa<\/p>\n Jamie will be involved in masonry and structural design and restoration projects on heritage buildings in Ottawa, Halifax and Kingston.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kevin Complido, Masters, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at ERA Architects, Ottawa office<\/p>\n Kevin will work on various projects at this firm of heritage conservation architects, including the development of materials related to communicating historic values, interpretation and digital storytelling.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Larissa Ide, Masters, Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at Stantec, Ottawa office<\/p>\n Larissa will work on analysing the energy performance of heritage buildings, including developing computer simulations and hygrothermal analysis.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Luke McElcheran, Masters, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at Taylor Hazel Architects, Toronto<\/p>\n Luke will be involved in various projects at this firm of heritage conservation architects in Toronto.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Miquel Reina Ortiz, PhD, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at 300.000 km\/s , a firm in Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n Miquel will assist in creating a meta-data catalog of heritage assets in Barcelona and will document and map aspects of the historic city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Natalie Smith, Masters, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at University of Minho, Portugal<\/p>\n Natalie will conduct analysis and testing of traditional timber joints, and the design and construction of timber vaults.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Robin Hoytema, Masters, Architecture<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at ERA Architects, Toronto office<\/p>\n Robin be working on various adaptive reuse projects at this firm of heritage conservation architects in Toronto.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wafaa Baabou, PhD, D\u00e9partement de strat\u00e9gie, responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et environnementale at the Universit\u00e9 de Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (UQAM)<\/strong><\/p>\n Interning at Architecture Sans Fronti\u00e8res Qu\u00e9bec<\/p>\n Wafaa will investigate the potential for reuse of deconstructed materials form heritage buildings and quantifying the benefits of reuse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The following is a list of interns for the Summer 2019 semester: Adrian Soble, Masters, Architecture Interning at WSP Ottawa office Adrian will work on building performance in heritage buildings, addressing such areas as thermal comfort and indoor air quality.
