Description of Research:

Alexa’s current research focuses on representations of Black history at the Canadian Museum of History. As part of this research, she will analyze the curatorial design of the Canadian History Hall, including textual materials (plaques and interpretative panels) and material objects where it pertains to Black history. This project will also provide recommendations on how the CMH can improve their representations and collection practices.

This project is funded by a SSHRC-Canada Graduate Scholarships-Masters award.
