What is your favourite thing about the program?
The Public History program combined intellectual and practical puzzles in a way that really appealed to me. The range of courses and the variety of perspectives turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.
What will you miss the most?
The people involved in the Public History program – both students and professors – make it an incredibly engaging and supportive environment within Carleton. It’s been really special to be able to learn and explore within this setting, particularly in a pandemic year.
What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?
One essay that really stuck with me was Greg Dening’s “Performing on the Beaches of the Mind: An Essay,” which we read in David Dean’s class on Performance and Narrativity.
What’s next for you?
I’m off to Rossland, BC! I got a contract as Operations and Marketing Manager at the Rossland Museum and Discovery Centre, so I’ll be heading west.
