What is your favourite thing about the program?

Learning and exploring new ideas alongside fellow students in the seminar room. Being able to share thoughts about readings, test out theories and approaches, and present your work to your peers and professors was a valuable experience and was the highlight of being a graduate student. At the PhD level, having the opportunity to discuss readings and research amongst a small group of students, or sometimes just one-on-one with a professor or supervisor was challenging but also enjoyable and rewarding.

What will you miss the most?

The sense of community between students, faculty, and staff. I believe that one of the department’s main strength is that everyone seems interested in each other’s work and is committed to helping students and peers succeed.
