What is your favourite thing about the program?

I loved the close-knit quality of the history department. I never felt like just another student. The professors were personable and the classes were interactive.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss the wide variety of history courses which allowed me to explore my interests in so many ways.

What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?

My favorite reading from the history department is a chapter from the memoir LineScrew by J. Michael Yates, “The Warehouse: On the Job Training,” from Crime and State in History; I also enjoyed the Alcohol: a History by Professor Rod Phillips.

What’s next for you?

I plan to pursue a JD/MA program in the following semester while continuing my work in the community which surrounds issues affecting African,Caribbean and Black individuals.
