What is your favourite thing about the program?
The knowledge I acquired.
Studying history, made me aware of how we are all just part of a larger story, waiting to be told.
What will you miss the most?
The classes… I’m going to miss the vibes and atmospheres of the classes. From debating to throwing historical jokes, I’m going to miss my professors and friends.
What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?
The Wretched of the Earth, by Frantz Fanon. If I was to describe it by one word: “Masterpiece.”
What’s next for you?
I’m not sure of what’s next for me. However, I plan to go back to my home city, Gaza- Palestine, in the distant future. My tribe owns a historical archive of reports, letters and scrolls dating back to Saladin’s military campaign against the Crusaders. With the approval of the tribe elders, I am hoping to translate them from Arabic into English.
