Followed by a round-table retrospective discussion of Paolo Broggio's research, "Researching Missions, Doctrine and Justice in Early Modern Europe" with interventions from Dr James Nelson Novoa (University of Ottawa) and Dr Paul Nelles (Carleton University).



Paolo Broggio is Professor of Early Modern History at Università degli Studi Roma Tre. His most recent book is Governare l'odio. Pace e giustizia criminale nell'Italia moderna. ("Governing Hatred. Peace and Criminal Justice in Early Modern Italy.") The talk will be in English.
