He&nbsp;specializes in the history of Treaties between the Government and&nbsp;Aboriginal people and the history of government policy and&nbsp;administration of AANDC. In recent years, he has worked at developing&nbsp;new interactive digital historical learning tools, web content and&nbsp;digital media as well as leading the ongoing national commemoration&nbsp;initiatives such as the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the 250th&nbsp;anniversary of the Royal Proclamation of 1763.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been involved in the establishment of the Public History working&nbsp;group of the Canadian Historical Association and was chair of the&nbsp;working group in 2009-2010. He has also been involved in the founding of&nbsp;the International Federation of Public History and currently sits as&nbsp;Vice-Chair.
