\n \n \n \n <\/h1>\n\n \n <\/header>\n\n\n\n

Since 2000, Jean-Pierre Morin has been the staff historian for the department of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. He specializes in the history of Treaties between the Government and Aboriginal people and the history of government policy and administration of AANDC. In recent years, he has worked at developing new interactive digital historical learning tools, web content and digital media as well as leading the ongoing national commemoration initiatives such as the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the 250th anniversary of the Royal Proclamation of 1763.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been involved in the establishment of the Public History working group of the Canadian Historical Association and was chair of the working group in 2009-2010. He has also been involved in the founding of the International Federation of Public History and currently sits as Vice-Chair. In 2013, Jean-Pierre Morin was the Program co-chair of the National Council on Public History\u2019s annual meeting in Ottawa, Canada. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council on Public History.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
