It has members from disciplines across the University including History, Canadian Studies, Communications, Business, and Art History. Managed by two co-Directors and a small Board of Management, the Centre has research associates working on a variety of projects related to museums, archives, cultural policy, oral history, visual culture, photography and public memory. Recent highlights include Capital History, Lost Stories, and the Migration / Representation / Stereotypes Conference. The CCPH benefits from a long-standing involvement of Carleton faculty and students in many areas of public history as consultants and researchers for government departments, museums, galleries, archives and local history organisations.

Director: David Dean and John C.
