The exhibit is unique in that it brings together scholars from the fields of biomedical engineering, social work, and history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>History doctoral candidate <a title=\"Dorothy J. Smith\" href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/history\/people\/dorothy-j-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dorothy-Jane Smith<\/a> led the research efforts of a group supervised by <a title=\"Dominique Marshall\" href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/history\/people\/dominique-marshall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Dominique Marshall<\/a>, Chair of the Department of History, <a title=\"Dr. Adrian Chan Faculty Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sce.carleton.ca\/faculty\/chan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Adrian Chan<\/a> of the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering and&nbsp; <a title=\"Dr. Roy Hanes | Social Work\" href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/socialwork\/people\/hanes-roy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Roy Hanes<\/a> of Carleton&#8217;s School of Social Work. <a title=\"Dr. David Pantalony, Canada Science and Technology Museum | External Site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencetech.technomuses.ca\/english\/about\/curators.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. David Pantalony<\/a>, Curator of Physical Sciences and Medicine at the Canada Science and Technology Museum also joined the project, contributing expertise in the history of medical instruments and an interest in the stories which can be told through the life histories of artifacts.
